Blogging the CommUNITY Mission to Israel

Some members of the mission took a bike ride to Rosh HaNikra, a spectacular geologic formation along the Mediterranean Sea north of Haifa. “So beautiful. Good exercise and great company,” said Naomi Sedek, annual campaign and missions director for the Jewish Federation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, in a Facebook post.

The adventure has begun for more than 80 members of the Nashville CommUNITY Mission to Israel.

Their initial stop was Haifa, where some visited a museum, an artist village, a high security tech firm and a winery while others took a bike ride to the spectacular grottoes of Rosh HaNikra.

The day ended with a sing along at their hotel, the Dan Carmel, led by Lisa Silver, cantorial soloist at Congregation Micah, and Rabbi Saul Stroberg of Congregation Sherith Israel.

The group is posting photos and regular updates of their trip in a blog at http://www.jewishnashville.org/community-mission-blog
