Local and regional artists will display and sell their works this month at the fourth Art on the West Side, a juried art show at the Gordon Jewish Community Center.
More than 40 artists – painters, sculptors, jewelry makers, clay and fiber artists, wood turners and glass artists – will be on hand to speak with guests about their work. Art on the West Side will take place on Saturday evening, April 22, and Sunday, April 23, at the GJCC at 801 Percy Warner Blvd. A percentage of all sales benefits art programming at the GJCC.
This year’s featured artists include Rhonda Polen Wernick, Debe Dohrer and Cathy Moberg.
The two-day event begins on Saturday with an opening preview sale from 6-9 p.m. that will feature cocktails and tastings from local restaurants. The suggested price is $15. Sunday will be a free show open to the public from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
