Alex Abramson

 

Alex Abramson will become a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, October 9, at 11 a.m. at The Temple. He was born on October 5, 2007, in Baltimore, Md.  The son of Vandana and Rick Abramson,  he is the grandson of  Myrna Abramson and the late Dr. Jerome H. Abramson of Atlanta, Ga.; and Shashi and Ram Gupta of Sacramento, Cal. 

For his Mitzvah project, Alex has written and published an original cookbook.  He will donate the sales proceeds to the Horizons Nashville program, a network of community-centered academic summer programs that put low-income public school students of varying abilities on the path to success. 

An eighth grader at Montgomery Bell Academy, Alex enjoys music of all sorts, especially playing the piano.  He is a passionate cook and he rows crew at MBA.
