Canadian singer, songwriter Leonard Cohen needs no introduction. His song, “Hallelujah," has been recorded by more artists than any other song in history. Batsheva has the only authorized translations of two of his songs from English to Hebrew and Yiddish.
Internationally renowned artist, Batsheva, will perform at Hadassah fundraiser to support Ukraine.
Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, Inc., has been helping Ukrainians since the start of the conflict. Hadassah HMO (Hadassah Medical Organization) has to date sent 15 rotating teams of Hadassah doctors and nurses to the Polish border who work in makeshift clinics to treat the refugees. In addition, they have been training other medical professionals on how to deal with trauma, a subject the Hadassah doctors know only too well.
At the start of the conflict, Youth Aliyah Villages in Israel welcomed many young Ukrainians. Some of the refugees have moved on while others remain and are being educated alongside the other students who come from a myriad of countries.
